We love our Country, the Country our Founding Fathers fought and died for, created from thirteen American Colonies.  Our Country sustained through times of great peril: the early formative years, westward expansion and the fulfilling of our "Manifest Destiny", the Civil War pitting brother against brother, the First World War with the advent of weapons of mass destruction, The Great Depression exposing the woes of economic deprivation, World War II a triumph over fascist domination, the March for racial equality, the Cold War and the fight against communist aggression, to name a few.  But sometimes those things we love so dearly lose their way, they forget or misapply the values that made them what they are.  When this happens it is thrust upon those who truly love them to act not with malice or despair, but with compassion and resolve.  Compassionate resolve it shall be!

Some may call it "tough love", but whatever called, we cannot expect that someone else will do what must be done or that those in power will see the error of their ways and reverse a course they have so vehemently demonstrated a dedication to.  It is time for each of us to stand firmly upon the values of those who stayed the course before us and to do that which we must.  In frustration we have heard our friends and compatriots ask, "I have contacted my legislators and they have ignored or impugned my apprehensions, what else can I do?"  The answer most often replied is to support conservative candidates and vote for them in the next election.  Well and good, but not enough!

Money is power, government at all levels are engaged in an insatiable appetite for the former to acquire the latter.  Federal, State, County, and Municipal have spurned their constitutions or charters and have engaged in an unlimited thirst for ever increasing intrusion upon our personal freedoms, putting the economic hopes and dreams we have for our children and their children at grave peril.  Too many in power pit Man against Woman, Child against Adult, White against Black, Rich against Poor in an effort to divide our unity and to chip away at the very fabric of our society.  We've had enough!

We deprive them of our money where we can; we support those who's wishes for our country are the same as ours and those of our Founding Fathers; and we nourish those who truly need a helping hand.  If we do these things, and we do not relent until the power of government is returned to the limited restraints found within their constitutions or charters, then we believe with an eternal faith that we can make a difference.  We must believe!

President Ronald Reagan summed up the sentiment of his campaign to win the presidency of the United States of American in late 1980: "If not us, then who?  If not now, when?"  Everyone cannot answer every action, no one may be able to answer all actions.  That is is not what this is about, it's about doing what we can, whenever we can.  What We Can, Whenever We Can!

(A quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson speaks of the viability of withholding funds: "The privilege of giving or withholding moneys is an important barrier against the undue exertion of prerogative which if left altogether without control may be exercised to our great oppression; and all history shows how efficacious its intercession for redress of grievances and reestablishment of rights, and how improvident would be the surrender of so powerful a mediator.")

CA-E1.1 Sell U.S. Savings Bonds and Treasury Notes, and state & municipal bonds.

CA-E1.2 Contact 401K, IRA, Pension (where applicable), and other mutual fund administrators and ensure portfolio excludes government securities: includes federal, state, & municipal bonds and notes.

CA-E1.3 Invest divested funds into the private-sector.

CA-E2. Disendow Quasi-Government Corporate Securities:

CA-E2.1 Sell quasi-government securities, includes stocks and bonds issued by:

  • General Motors (GM),
  • Chrysler Corporation,
  • American International Group (AIG),
  • Fannie Mae, and by
  • Freddie Mac.
  • Other corporations whose special relationship with government allows them unfair competitive advantage through tax payer subsidy.

(Could easily apply to public utilities, coops, and other quasi-government corporations at the state and local level.)

CA-E2.2; Contact 401K, IRA, Pension (where applicable), and other mutual funds administrators and ensure your portfolio excludes quasi-government corporate securities.

CA-E1.3 Invest the disendowed funds in the private-sector.

CA-E3. Minimize Income Tax Liability & Withholding:

CA-E3.1 Claim applicable income tax exemptions, deductions & credits where fiscally responsible.

CA-E3.2 Target minimal Federal and State income tax withholding; revise W4 withholding to actual marital & number of dependents status.

(Target under-withholding to the greater of $1,000 or 10% of expected federal income tax liability, subject to penalty if withholding is less than 90% of tax liability and balance owed is greater than $1,000.)

CA-E3.3 Automatically deposit weekly into a personal withholding savings account, use savings from this account to pay balance of income tax liability.

(Savings account balance after filing income tax returns, including balanced owed payments, can be treated as if a tax refund.)

CA-E3.4 Mail income tax payments as late as possible, avoid interest or penalties.

(April 15 deadline for Federal individual income tax returns.)

CA-E4. Contribute to Tax Deferred & Tax Exempt Accounts:

CA-E4.1 Contribute to tax deferred retirement savings accounts: includes 401K's and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA's).

CA-E4.2 Contribute to tax exempt Health Savings Accounts (HSA's).

CA-E4.3 Contribute to tax exempt Charitable Spending Accounts (CSA's).

CA-E4-4 Contribute to other tax deferred and tax exempt accounts, may include accounts on the state or local level.

(Tax deferments and exemptions reduce present tax revenue to government, allowing individuals to keep more of their own money that can be used for retirement investment, health care services, charitable giving, and other applicable purposes.)

CA-E5. De-Subsidize Medicaid Payments:

CA-E5.1 Select health care providers that do not accept Medicaid patients.

(Medicaid "dictates" reimbursements at 60 - 65% of reasonable and customary charges for health care services; private insurance and cash payment patients reimburse at 90 - 100% pending "negotiated" agreements.  Net effect of these conditions result in private subsidy of government ran Medicaid.)

CA-E5.2 Emphasize to your private health insurance providers the preference for "participating" or "in program" health care providers that do not accept Medicaid patients.

(This has everything to do with reigning in the abusive power of unlimited government and nothing to do with the Medicaid patient who has a legitimate need.)

CA-E6. Boycott Quasi-Government Corporate Products & Services:

CA-E6.1 Boycott quasi-government corporate products & services, companies include:

  • General Motors (GM),
  • Chrysler Corporation,
  • American International Group (AIG),
  • Fannie Mae,
  • Freddie Mac, and
  • other corporations whose special relationship with government allows them unfair competitive advantage through tax payer subsidy.

CA-E7. Ostracize Organizations that Support the Liberal Agenda:

CA-E7.1 Boycott corporate products and services that support liberal legislation, corporations include:

  • General Electric (GE) - supported cap and trade energy legislation, 2010;
  • Walmart - supported "Obamacare" health care reform, 2010;
  • Bank of America - rescinded a line of credit with McMillan Firearms Manufacturing for political purposes, 2012; and
  • Best Buy - contributor to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR): an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood and a co-conspirator to fund the terrorist group Hamas, 2012.

CA-E7.2 Boycott organizational services that support liberal legislation, organizations include the:

  • American Medical Association (AMA) - supported "Obamacare" health care reform, 2010; and the
  • American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) - supported "Obamacare" health care reform, 2010.

CA-E8. Relocate from States & Locals with Confiscatory Taxes:

CA-E8.1 Relocate from States, Counties or Municipals that have excessive and confiscatory income, property, sales or other taxes.

CA-E9. Avoid Government Lotteries:

CA-E9.1 Avoid State or Local lotteries.

(Lotto payout ratios, winnings paid divided by revenue received, are far less than reputable private casino gaming, sports betting, and most other gambling.)

CA-E10. Minimize Other Government Revenue:

(We all have an inherent motivation to minimize unnecessary expenditures, but have we always pondered that our loss is also government gain; that the consequence of this gain enables governments to further pursue their quest for unlimited power?)

CA-E10.1 Avoid traffic fines such as:

(Lets face it, in far to many locals "protect & serve" has been replaced by "show me the money".  It's not the people, it's the system, the need for ever increasing revenue for ever increasing unlimited government.)

  • Speeding, use cruise control;
  • Ssafety, use seat belts and child restraint seats;
  • Operating, maintain lights and other vehicle safety equipment; and
  • Documentation, carry registration and proof of insurance in vehicle.

(Fines are often compounded by traffic court appearances, allowing additional "court costs" to be assessed, many times exceeding the cost of the traffic violation itself.)

CA-E10.2 Avoid toll roads.

CA-E10.3 Delay payments to the government.

(Make payments on last possible date to avoid penalty.)

CA-E10.4 Minimize public transportation and parking fees.

CA-E10.5 Reduce usage of products carrying excessive sales & excise tax, including but not limited to:

  • Alcoholic beverages,
  • Tobacco products, and
  • Gasoline & diesel fuel.

CA-P1. Support Conservative Candidates:

"To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people, is a chimerical idea, if there be sufficient virtue and intelligence in the community, it will be exercised in the selection of these men.  So that we do not depend on their virtue, or put confidence in our rulers, but in the people who are to choose them."

CA-P1.1 Donate to conservative candidates at all levels of government.

CA-P1.2 Volunteer work for conservative candidates at all levels of government.

CA-P1.3 Vote for conservative candidates at all levels of government.

(Conservative candidates are those who not only personally believe in the values exalted by our Founding Fathers and for the restraints of limited government as delegated by our constitutions or charters, but just as importantly, are willing to place those values above their political affiliations to vote for conservative leadership and legislation.)

CA-P1.4 Stop election checkoff.

(Government need not involve itself in campaign financing, nor do we want our money "spread around" to nonconservative candidates, do not check Presidential Election Campaign fund on federal income tax return.)

CA-P2. Spread the Conservative Word:

"I hope therefore that for our own Sakes, as a Part of the People, and for the sake of our Posterity, we shall act heartily and unanimously in recommending this Constitution, wherever our Influence may extend, and turn our future Thoughts and Endeavours to the Means of having it well administered."

CA-P2.1 Engage in conservative discourse.

(Behave professionally, be considerate of others, remember the young, and use words of our Founding Fathers and of our Founding Documents at every opportunity.)

CA-P2.2 Instill virtue, patriotism and work ethic in the young:

  • Teach conservative values to those at a young age.
  • Celebrate the anniversary of our Country's founding (July 4th) and participate in other patriotic events and forums with the young.
  • Allow the young to savor the taste of the toil of hard work.

(Words may be forgotten, values and ethic lasts an eternity.)

CA-P2.3 Enlighten others through the distribution of key founding documents and conservative literature:

  • "The Declaration of Independence",
  • "The Constitution of the United States of America",
  • "The Federalist Papers", and
  • other written, audio or video; books, documents or literature that elucidates our Country's founding principles.

CA-P2.4 Echo conservative values and TAOFFC Website on electronic media through:

  • Talk news commentary radio,
  • Public service radio,
  • Linking website address in emails, and through
  • The internet including Blogs (use "taoffc" as your Blog Name), Facebook, Twitter, etc.

CA-P2.5 Distribute the Founding Fathers Conservatives business card by:

  • Handing one to a neighbor or acquaintance,
  • Distributing at forums and rallies,
  • Slipping one into a letter of correspondence,
  • Dropping one or more off on retail counter top or restaurant table,
  • Turning front of card into a block newspaper add, and by
  • Posting on public bulletin boards.

CA-P3. Demand Reduced Government Spending: (Overall government spending should be reduced until government services at all levels are returned to the limited restraints of their constitutions or charters.  There will be legitimate need for more spending on delegated areas of responsibility, expect your legislators to make cuts in non-delegated areas.  As we ask that government services be rolled back, for the good of our Country, and our People, we also ask that any reductions in the public workforce be accomplished through attrition and reassignment, without layoff.)

CA-P3.1 Endorse spending freeze at present dollar levels until budget is balanced.

CA-P3.2 Promote limiting the scope of government at all levels consistent with their constitutions or charters by:

  • Phasing out non-delegated services, and by
  • Restructuring government departments and agencies accordingly.

CA-P3.3 Encourage the transformation of public employee workforce and compensation through the:

  • Implementation of a hiring freeze,
  • Incorporation of a wage freeze until budget is balanced,
  • Commensuration of public and private sector employee compensation,
  • Reduction of the workforce by attrition, and through the
  • Reassignment of ;displaced employees.

(We must first stop the hemorrhaging of run away government spending, and secondly sustain a reduced level of spending based upon the limited scope of government.  Bottom line, don't get caught up in an emotional appeal to fund something popular and within the delegated scope of government while unlimited spending in thousands of other areas occurs each day.)

CA-P4. Back Reduced Tax Rates:

CA-P4.1 Support reduced income tax rates.

(Government spending is the problem needing redressed, not government revenue.  Even if increased revenue was needed, reduced income tax rates would be the means to that end.  Since John F. Kennedy (Democrat) reduced federal income tax rates, top marginal rate from 95% down to 77%, in the early 1960's and further bolstered in the 1980's under Ronald Reagan (Democrat turned Republican), top marginal rate reduced to 28%, the average percentage of revenue to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has risen from the lower to the upper 20 percentile; at same time the average annual increase in GDP rose from the upper 5% to the lower 7% level.  Reduced tax rates spurred expanded business investment and subsequent economic growth leading to greater profits and increased employment in higher paying jobs; greater profits and higher wages resulted in increased tax revenues.)

(Reduced income tax rates is the key, not government social economic engineering using changes in tax deductions and tax credits to influence behavior.  Liberals don't want to get it because they foremost believe in "social justice" rather than in fiscally sound business decisions made by corporations, businesses and individuals each day.  Is there a break even point where this model would not work?  We're not even close.)

CA-P4.2 Reject all tax increases.

(Liberals will pit one group against another to lower resistance to increased tax proposals, don't get drawn into an emotional appeal.  Your neighbor's increased cigarette sales tax - yesterday; your friend's increased property tax - today; your turn - tomorrow.)

CA-P4.3 Favor income tax rate cuts over increased income deductions and tax credits.

(All of these, if qualified for deduction or credit, decrease income tax liability.  Deductions and credits in too many instances eliminates the tax payer's liability completely.  Refundable tax credits are worse as they often turn a net tax payer into a net cash recipient, effectual income redistribution.  Of coarse this is not unintentional, it serves the liberal with a reduced percentage of net tax payers making it easier to pit Tax Payer against Non, Rich against Poor, when wanting to raise income tax rates.)

CA-P5. Snub Liberal Media and Entertainment:

CA-P5.1 Do not donate to National Public Radio (NPR) or Television (NPT).

CA-P5.2 Do not tune in to liberal news, commentary, or entertainment radio or television programming.

(Includes ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and affiliates CNBC, MSNBC, etc.)

CA-P5.3 Do not tune to news or commentary, or entertainment programming featuring anchors or entertainers known to espouse liberal positions.

CA-P5.4 Do not subscribe to liberal newspapers or news magazines.

CA-P5.5 Petition liberal media and entertainment programming advertisers.

(Contact advertisers and let them know you disapprove of their support of the liberal media outlet.)

CA-P6. Petition Government Legislators:

  • Radio (talk radio) news commentary.

CA-P10.3 Patronize products & services of conservative media advertisers.

CA-P10.4 Petition conservative media advertisers.

(Contact advertisers and let them know you approve of their support of the conservative media outlet.)

CA-P10.5 Contribute to charities sponsored by conservative media.

CA-S1. Bond with Family:

(Rather by conflict or circumstance families are sometimes estranged from one another.  Life is too short, the hereafter will arrive soon enough for all of us.  Cherish your Family within your heart, even when distance keeps you apart.)

CA-S1.1 Love your Family.

CA-S1.2 Support your family members in:

  • Illness and injury,
  • Financial difficulty,
  • Emotional & spiritual need, and in
  • Elderly age.

(Do these things out of Love, not in expectation of restitution.)

CA-S2. Donate to Private Charity:

(The amount of your gifts necessarily depend upon your income and financial footing.  Obviously the amount is important to the charity and to those it serves, but also crucial is the dedication of donor measured by their consistency of giving.  Local charities are more vulnerable to lapses in donation receipts due to a smaller donor base, making smaller monthly gifts invaluable.  National charities can more readily thrive on annual receipts.  Rather monthly or annually consistency of giving is key.)

CA-S2.1 Donate monthly to private local "safety net" charities, including:

  • Food kitchens or food stuffs providers,
  • Clothing distributors,
  • Housing or shelter providers,
  • Health care providers,
  • Long term (elderly & challenged) care providers, and
  • Animal care and shelter providers.

(Does not always have to be monetary, volunteering of your time or supplies is of great value.  Be not overwhelmed, you need not individually donate to them all; accumulatively $5 or $10 a month, a hour of service, or a few parcels of supplies per week go a long way.  What We Can, Whenever We Can!)

CA-S2.2 Donate annually to top private national and international charities, including:

  • Human (food, clothing, shelter) services,
  • Health care and disease control services,
  • Veteran health care and family aid services, and
  • Animal humane care services.

(National and international charities may require advanced research, we want to support those with a minimum 75% efficiency rating.  Program Expenses / Total Revenue = Efficiency.  See rating service link.)  http://www.charitynavigator.org/

CA-S2.3 Donate to local, national and international disaster relief.

(A donation fund could work nicely, have your bank transfer (for example $10) per week into a donation fund account and you would have a total of (for example $520) to donate annually.  Record of donations would be efficiently summarized in one banking account.)

CA-S3. Volunteer for Community Service:

(President Ronald Reagan expressed it well: "One of the unexpected pleasures of the presidency has nothing to do with economic problems or international crisis.  It is the opportunity to lend a hand now and then to other human beings.")

CA-S3.1 Volunteer for local disaster relief.

CA-S3.2 Volunteer with community, business or church groups in their community service activities.

CA-S4. Be a Humanitarian:

"I believe in one God, ... .  That the most acceptable Service we render to him is doing good to his other Children.  That the soul of Man is immortal, and will be treated with Justice in another Life respecting its Conduct in this."

CA-S4.1 Assist your neighbor and fellow man in need and comfort same in grief.

CA-S4.2 Be kind to animals, care for those in need.

(Doesn't require donations to official charities, we believe all acts of kindness: comfort to the ill, a blanket for the cold, or seeds for a hungry flock "recommends us to the Deity".)

CA-S5. Support Private Education:

"Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged."

(Our present public school systems infested with social engineering, bureaucracy and malaise to the detriment of sound fundamental education, will not fulfill Jefferson's three basic requirements.  The support of private education may be the single most important thing we can do long term.)

S5.1 Enroll children into private education, including:

CA-S5.2 Setup and donate to a college savings fund for the young: children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews, etc.

CA-S5.3 Donate monthly to private primary education schools or programs, including:

  • Elementary,

CA-S5.4 Donate annually to private colleges and schools of higher learning, including:

(Primary schools, through senior high, have a need for more frequent monthly contributions due to a lower donor base.  Colleges and schools of higher learning can function effectively on annual contributions.  Just like in other giving, consistency is key.  Remember the advantages of creating an automated donation fund account, spoke of in the Donate to Private Charity detail.  What We Can, Whenever We Can!)

  • Vocational & trades,
  • Liberal arts college, and
  • Professional studies.

CA-S5.5 Back a public funds voucher system, elements include:

  • Federal, state & local funds follow the student to the school of their choice;
  • Allows parents and students to choose the best school to fit their needs;
  • Incorporates competition into the education system by rewarding schools of choice; and
  • Competition by nature requires a degree of continual efficiency, improvement and responsiveness in order to survive.

(Federal education funds should be eliminated through our Reform Agenda.  As long as they exist however, they should be allocated through a voucher system.)

CA-S6. Protect Private Property:

CA-S8. Exercise & Protect the Right to Bear Arms:

"Arms in the hands of individual citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defence of the country, the over-throw of tyranny, or in private self-defense."

John Adams mentioned three reasons that he as a Founding Father felt important that individual citizens be armed; also necessary to the time in which they lived would have been for use in game hunting for food and clothing.  The listing could well be expanded by the addition of two more prevalent in today's environment, sport shooting (target & competition) and gun collecting.  Regardless of the uses of firearms that one may enumerate, Thomas Jefferson makes clear his view shared by many of his colleagues of the time for the "strongest reason" to keep and bear arms.)

CA-S8.1 Build and maintain an arsenal of firearms for use in protection of life, liberty, property, and Country:

  • Assault Rifle,
  • Handgun,
  • High-powered rifle with scope,
  • Shotgun,
  • Abundant ammunition and magazines for each. and
  • Secure firearms and ammunition in a dry, safe location.

"A militia when properly formed are in fact the people themselves and include all men capable of bearing arms. To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."

CA-S8.2 Maintain firearm proficiency through the:

  • Development of a safe, quick and efficient process for retrieval and loading;
  • Practice in safe handling and discharge targeting; and through the
  • Cleaning and maintenance of your firearms.

"Congress have no power to disarm the militia.  Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American ...  The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state government, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people."

CA-S8.3 Attain, maintain, and become proficient in the use of "every other terrible implement of the soldier" as you may feel comfortable.  In doing so:

  • Avoid the traceable or electronic method of arms purchases;
  • Do not register or voluntarily submit personal information in connection with the ownership or purchase of arms; and
  • Actively resist any (especially government) effort to gain knowledge of the arms that you possess or purchase.

(Pertains to all arms and terrible implements of the soldier including but not limited to guns, ammunition, expanded capacity magazines, etc.  The Constitution of the United States grants its citizens the uninfringeable right to bear arms, it does not grant our governments the power or authority to know of those arms that we possess.)

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

CA-S8.4 Join and support political representatives, associations, clubs, and other groups that effectively foster and work to protect our right to bear arms.

CA-S9.1 Hold age proven values in mind and heart that they shall be freely lived:

  • Abundance Mentality - absence of jealousy fore the bounty is plenty for everyone;
  • Discretion - loyal to those not present;
  • Honesty - sincerity is always subject to proof;
  • Humility - the proud are paid in full with mighty blows of fate, at long last those blows will teach us wisdom;
  • Justice - inflexible, as we would that men should do to you;
  • Maturity - the balance between courage and consideration;
  • Personal Leadership - doing the right things;
  • Prudence - never acting until every circumstance, every consideration, is weighed; and
  • Professionalism - commited to world-class.

CA-S9.2 Pursue your own mission in life.  Consider the waste of neither time nor money, the basis of which:

  • Industry, and
  • Frugality.

(Greeck playwright Sophocles said it well in "Oedipus the King": "Pursue a thing, and you may catch it; ignored, it slips away.")

CA-S10. Nourish a Spiritual Compass:

CA-S10.1 Maintain an intimacy with your spiritual compass through:

  • Religion,
  • Philosophy,
  • Meditation, or through
  • Other forms of study or inspiration that provide a spiritual compass.

(Morality, virtue, values, principles, ethics, etc. are the basis of a spiritual compass.  Though born in innocence, these traits do not remain inherent throughout human life.  In youth they are learned from parents, siblings or mentors; as we grow and develop our own thought processes we need to adopt and nourish our spiritual compass.)

CA-S10.2 Encourage and mentor others in their spiritual maturity.

CA-S10.3 Donate to mentors and institutions of spiritual study and inspiration.
